Mitcheldean Endowed Primary School

Achieve, Believe, Contribute

Welcome To Our School

Choosing the right school for your child is such an important decision.  If you are considering our school for your child then please do contact us and we will try to arrange a visit for you and your child.  Meanwhile, have a look at our website and hopefully that will give you a sense of what our school is about; enabling you to determine if we are the right school for your child.

As Headteacher I am proud to  welcome you to our school community. Here at Mitcheldean,  we have a brilliant, dedicated, talented and hardworking team of Teachers, Teaching Assistants (TAs), Mid-Day Supervisory Assistants (MDSAs), cleaning & caretaking staff, administration staff and Governors. All of us are passionately committed to ensuring we are the best we can be for our school community.

When families join our school, they join our school family who work together to achieve our vision of Achieve, Believe and Contribute. Together in partnership we can help your child make the best start in their formal educational journey.

Our Vision

As a school community we want to enable everyone to Achieve, Believe and Contribute in all that they do.  Our vision was devised through consultation with every stakeholder including our Children, Staff, Governors, and Parents.  It encapsulates all we want for our children and threads throughout our school.

To care for and inspire each other to be the best person we can be, through a supportive environment  so we can learn from and share with the world around us.

Our vision is captured in our motto: 'Achieve, Believe and Contribute'

Achieve, Believe and Contribute.

We want all of our children to leave our school with the highest levels of achievement of which they are capable, feeling confident in themselves and their abilities and with Christian values that enable them to live amicably with others and make a contribution to society

Values and Ethos

'Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works.'

Mark 5:16

We are proud of our school and of our Christian ethos and work hard to ensure that our decisions are made to enhance the provision and learning outcomes for the children in our care. We want children to leave our school, confident, happy and ready for the next stage in their lives.   This bible verse is the root of our values and encapsulates the light that we want to shine for all of our children.  We relish working with our children to help them discover their talents and strengths in all that they do.
