PE
PE INTENT
As sports people, we are active, healthy and compete against each other and as a team.
At Mitcheldean Endowed Primary School, we recognise the importance of PE and the key role it plays in promoting healthy lifestyles and team work. Our PE curriculum aims to provide all children with high quality sports provision whatever their ability, in an encouraging and positive environment. It is our vision for every pupil to achieve, believe and contribute, all of which can be done through our varied and exciting PE curriculum and the wide range of sporting events entered as a school. We strive to inspire our pupils through fun and engaging lessons with class teachers and coaches, as well as sporting professionals visiting school to motivate our children to future sporting success and opening up new opportunities. Through competitive sport we not only want our children to appreciate the benefits of a physically active lifestyle, but also the transferable life skills such as fairness, respect and humility leading them to be well rounded individuals who can work as part of a team.

They are a new team, recruited in February this year!! Well done to Amber Whitehouse for her determination in rounding the girls up to create a team!
They have played really well together at both the outdoor tournament at Lydney and then the indoor tournament at Cinderford.
They had several wins along with a few draws and a couple of losses.
All girls are keen to continue training to be better prepared for the next round of fixtures.
The most important thing being that they had fun and did a fab job of representing our school. We are all really proud of you!
