At Mitcheldean Endowed Primary School, we recognise the importance of PE and the key role it plays in promoting healthy lifestyles and team work. Our PE curriculum aims to provide all children with high quality sports provision whatever their ability, in an encouraging and positive environment. It is our vision for every pupil to achieve, believe and contribute, all of which can be done through our varied and exciting PE curriculum and the wide range of sporting events entered as a school. We strive to inspire our pupils through fun and engaging lessons with class teachers and coaches, as well as sporting professionals visiting school to motivate our children to future sporting success and opening up new opportunities. Through competitive sport we not only want our children to appreciate the benefits of a physically active lifestyle, but also the transferable life skills such as fairness, respect and humility leading them to be well rounded individuals who can work as part of a team.

Sports days 2021
With restrictions for COVID still in place we have reinvented our sports day at Mitcheldean. Each year group are having their very own sports day during the course of the summer term.
We are so pleased to say we have managed to get swimming back up and running at our school ready for the summer term! It's been tough with COVID and swimming had to take a back seat. However we now have years 4,5 and 6 back at the swimming pool and having great fun during their sessions.
Year 5 have participated in Bike Ability this term and are now safe cyclists on the road. Well done Year 5!
